Abstract EN

Subject of the Research: (Faraj bin Fadala and his narrations regarding Yahya bin Saeed Al- Ansari, in Sunni books “collecting and studying”).

The research aims at an extensive translation of Faraj bin Fadala, knowing his sheikhs, words of the imams of Al-Jarh (criticism) and the modification thereof, and his narratives in the nine books in total, then collecting his narratives from Yahya Bin Saeed Al-Ansari, studying and judging them.

Research Significant Findings:: 1-Farag bin Fadala’s doubtfulness except in the generality of what he narrated from his Shami sheikhs, as stated by Imam Ahmad.

2-No one narrated for Faraj bin Fadala among the authors of the nine books except Abu Dawood, Al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Ahmad.

3-Most of the authors of the nine books were narrated by Imam Ahmad, for he brought out twen¬ty-five hadiths.

4-Most of the narrations of Imam Ahmad that he brought out in Al Masnad for Fadala are for his Shami sheikhs, as he brought them seventeen hadiths from them.

5-The number of narrations of Faraj bin Fadala in all the sources, which I faced, for his sheikh Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari is only twelve, and most of them, as mentioned by the imams, were unique to Yahya bin Saeed and denounced him.
