Preserving architectural heritage by enhancing it is an interesting idea, especially if it is well translated into reality.

This article is a contribution to its implementation in the region of Beni Ourtilane, which has important architectural and non-architectural heritage capacities and which expects an optimal exploitation of these riches.

In this paper, we will first present the different components of the architectural heritage of the region, explaining its historical and cultural importance, and secondly, we will present the different attempts of exploitation in the tourist framework and in other frameworks by some local actors.

Thirdly, we will try to propose recommendations that would contribute to the progress of the preservation of the architectural heritage and its tourist development in the studied area.

Methodologically, our study is based on the exploitation of previous studies, field observation, analyses and documents issued by local actors, and dialogue with some local elected officials and leaders of tourist associations operating in the studied area.
