Abstract EN

This paper presents a history of the French environmental crimes in the Algerian desert as a result of the nuclear tests it carried out in Algeria from 1960 to 1965, and a legal analysis of the impact of those nuclear tests, where the effects of the Reggane nuclear test alone exceeded three times the atomic bomb in Hiroshima, and what followed that from the destruction of the Algerian ecosystem and its living elements and its impact on the life and health of the Algerian human being, as he is the holder of the inherent right to an appropriate healthy environment in accordance with international charters and national laws ; the direct and indirect environmental damage caused by the various nuclear tests has resulted in the establishment of international environmental responsibility for France's environmental crimes and the necessity of compensation as stipulated by various international charters and national laws.
