The parties of the marital relationship may suffer from violence from each other, and in order to protect the abused victim, who often may be the wife because it's a woman, the legislator approved protecting her if she was a victim by criminalizing physical violence like assault and wounding in article 266 bis of the penal code, and verbal and psychological violence in article 266 bis 1, and financial violence in article 330 bis, bearing in mind that the legislator restricts the victim to the wife without the husband, and because the punishment cannot be reached without procedures, the code of criminal procedure guarantees a role for the victim during the various procedural stages, while giving privacy in these crimes and enabling the victim to put an end to the continuation of the case through forgiveness.
