This research paper deals with the stability of the international system through hegemony in the light of American hegemony and the growth of international competition.

the study showed how America established its hegemony at the military level, and in its economic and commercial relations, as it repudiated the rules of international law, and took measures that contradict them, under the pretext of maintaining the status quo that is in line with its interests, and maintaining the position of hegemony as a way to impose stability, according to its claim.

in the midst of the escalation of international competition, the study came up with two scenarios : either the situation will lead to the return of bipolarity to impose balance within the framework of participatory competition, or the conflict of wills intensifies and threatens international peace and security.
