Abstract EN

This research paper aims to highlight the reality of the Takaful insurance in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria and the different challenges hindering its development.

The research reached a set of conclusions; perhaps the most prominent of them is the relatively recent Takaful insurance in the three countries subject to a set of developments through introducing a set of laws and executive decrees to make it successful.

However, this insurance still suffers from challenges, such as the lack in both the number of the active Takaful insurance institutions and the awareness among citizens.

To overcome these challenges, a number of recommendations were proposed, perhaps the most important of which is the necessity of cooperation between the three countries through holding seminars and conferences to exchange experiences and innovate the insurance products that comply with the Islamic Sharia popular with individuals, in addition, encouraging the private sector to invest in this sector and raising the awareness among citizens about its importance.
