Bacteria are among the main causes of infection and wound infections because of toxins that may delay the healing process, Which has become resistant to most antibiotics and has been directed towards medicinal plants as alternative treatments.

This study, which was conducted in the Plant Pathology Laboratory of the Plant Protection Department of the Faculty of Agriculture, investigated the inhibitory effect of the water extract, ethanol and acetone of Ruta chalepensis L.

using several concentrations 50, 100, 150 and 200 mg/ml against four types of bacteria (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pyogenes) isolated from wound inflammation to Al-Jalaa Hospital in Benghazi-Libya by a sensitivity test in the form of Disk diffusion method.
