Abstract EN

This research concerned with studying the poetry of mentioning the virtues of Hajj, in terms of analyzing the motives for its activities, opinion about its events, familiarity with its texts, and offering explanatory visions for it, in the early era of Islamic history (Umayyad era).

In order to do this, the researcher has reviewed many opinions that explain the existence of the phenomenon, whether those that see that mentioning the virtues of Hajj shows the reality, or that see it as a pure imagination, then he followed it with a special opinion, in which he tried to define the objective differences between the logic of art and the logic of life, then he analyzed the phenomenon according to the cultural context that produced it, linking its activities with the major transformations that people experienced in the cities of Hijaz at that time, He pointed out that there is a comparison between the pattern of political rebellion in the Hijaz and the pattern of poetic rebellion in Hajj in mentioning its virtues.
