Abstract EN

The present study demonstrates the biography of Judge Musa bin Abi Jabir Al Azkawi (181H/797AD) and his role in the Omani national unity during the period (181-132H/797-749AD).

Al Azkwai is Musa bin Abi Jabir.

He is a jurist, mufti, judge, teacher and adviso.

He participated in the political events that shaped a critical point in Oman history during the period subject of the study.

The study comprises an introduction, a conclusion and four main topics – the first topic reviews the biography and life of Musa bin Abi Jabir, the second topic discusses the participation of Al Azkawi in the rise of the first Ibadhi Imamate (134-132H) while the third topic addresses Al Azkawi's role during the transitional period between the two Imamisms (177-134H).

Finally, the fourth topic sheds light on Al Azkawi's participation during the first period of the second Imamate in Oman (280-177H).
