Institutions of all kinds have given special attention to work pressures as a general phenomenon that cannot be ignored, and that female leaders are among the most vulnerable groups to career pressures, because of their home duties and work at the same time.

this is accompanied by situations and events that pose career and life pressures on them, which pushes them to search for methods for managing and addressing these situations.

therefore, the study aimed to identify the status quo of career, organizational, work pressures, job burden pressures, work relations pressures, life pressures-and their impact degree on the performance of women leaders in the directorate of education in Dakahliya, and the most important methods that they use to confront them from their point of view.

to achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive method, by applying some of its tools, such as the interview for a sample of (10), and a questionnaire for a sample of (34) women leaders.

the results showed that the sources of pressure are the same: life events, technical development, professional and employment, economic and social, personal and family, and that the degree of their influence on the performance of women leaders ranged between high and medium, and that their ranking according to the severity of their influence was close in all axes except for the axis of organizational pressure, where the results of the interview came in the first order while the results of the questionnaire came in the fourth order.

the most common methods used to confront career pressures, from the viewpoint of the sample, is to ensure the safety of the work environment, balance between work and family life, develop the spirit of cooperative work, develop their skills and train them to face the pressures.

the study recommended reducing working hours for women, taking into account the physiological conditions related to women, which lead them to involuntary tension and increase pressure on them personally, subordinates at work, and their family at home.
