Heritage structures play an important role in a nation's history and culture, as well as symbolizing its wealth.

It is critical for future generations to know how humans lived in the past ages to increase life.

The restoration process includes the examination, diagnosis, and correction of any structure's deficiencies and deterioration.

In addition, it identifies common flaws and problems in legacy structures and innovates a methodical approach to dealing with them.

The research problem is the emergence of challenges for designers and architects in the documentation and restoration of historical buildings, methods, and techniques.

These include preserving heritage buildings while respecting the basic materials that comprise the building to preserve its authenticity and history.

The primary focus of the research is the creation of documentation and the restoration of historical buildings that have been damaged.

The study demonstrates that prior studies of documentation theories and concepts were followed through a study of the analytical descriptive approach to documenting and restoring the aspects of damage to the historic Alexandria Atelier building (Timfako Palace).
