China and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have moved towards a stage of mutual rapprochement in the regional and international conditions created by the post-Cold War era and the emergence of Chinese orientations governed by the economy rather than the ideology.

The Chinese-Gulf rapprochement has contributed to the mutual interest and common interests in the political, economic, security and cultural fields.

The two parties are keen to benefit from them in promoting and maintaining this rapprochement.

Despite the existence of many areas of cooperation between China and the GCC countries, The political, economic and security challenges depend on the ability of the parties to overcome them or reduce their repercussions.
