Abstract EN

This study aims to know the role of effective purchasing planning, and the extent of its impact on improving production capacity, in industrial companies in Libya.

A deliberate sample was chosen from the senior administrative leaderships of the State Company for Medicines and Medical Supplies.

Where the results of the study showed that there is a decrease in the level of procurement planning, and poor coordination between the different departments in particular.

Also, the senior management is not aware of the tasks and requirements of the procurement planning function.

The study concluded that the need to pay attention to purchasing planning, through assigning this position to specialists and experts with high competencies and skills, to raise the level of production capacity.
