The term food security has been used over time to mean other than food sufficiency.

Food insecurity currently affects one (01) out of nine (09) people in the world despite the efforts already underway to achieve food security following the deterioration of the global food situation since 2015.

By the year 2050, it will be necessary to adequately feed 10 billion people worldwide, despite the effects of climate change.

To achieve this, it is essential to review our agricultural and food systems; and support sustainable rural development.

This research study discusses the various meanings related to the concept of food security and suggests that it can be a useful measure of household, individual welfare, and society, by breaking down the consensus framework on the concept of food security to discuss the Algerian agricultural strategic situation in media.
