Abstract EN

Pronouns are among the most prominent tools of textual consistency.

They are substitutes for words, phrases and consecutive sentences.

They have different functions depending on their location in the sentence.

They serve as linking the different parts of the text that create a kind of balance, parity and harmony between its elements through the referral that links the text structures and compositions.

The present research is part of the textual studies that aims at tracing the Pronouns' Referral in selected poems from the "Divan of Algeria" and its role in linking the text structures and making it a regular texture, by linking each text structure to its previous or next and linking it to the external status in which it was mentioned through the use of all personal pronouns.
