Abstract EN

The research aims to define environment and its status in the Islamic jurisprudence.

It also attempts to clarify the jurisprudential rules relevant to the protection of environment to show the relation between preserving environment and the five aggregates, that is preserving: religion, self, mind, offspring and fund.

The research concludes that the interest of jurisprudence in preserving environment and this is evident by tracking its particularities like purity (ablutions), prayers, alms (zakat), fasting Ramadhan and pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj).

Protecting and preserving environment is one of the strongest interests because its loss affects the five aggregates, and any attack on environment is considered as an attack on them.
