Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify written expression skills among level 3 students at the Institute for Teaching Arabic Language ةIslamic University of Madinah ةmeasure their availability ةmeasure the impact of story map strategy on developing written expression skills among them using the quaxi-experimental approach.

To achieve the research objectives ةthe following tools were prepared: a questionnaire for written expression skills ةa student book ةa teacher's guidebook ةand a written expression skills test.

The research sample consisted of (22) students from level 3 ةand the prominent findings were: Formation of a list of appropriate writing skills for level 3 students from (4) main skills ةof which (14) sub-skills emerged.

Also ةall written expression skills for Arabic language learners who speak other languages were quite poorly available among level 3 students ةbefore applying the story map strategy-based experience in teaching the students.

The research found that there is a statistically significant difference at significance level of (0.01) between the mean scores of the research sample in the pre and post measurements test of written expression skills as a whole ةand for each written expression skill independently ةin favor of the post measurement.

To draw benefits from the research findings ةthe researcher has presented some recommendations and a set of future studies to complement the findings.
