Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal Saudi universities' role in preparing their students for the labour market from faculty members' perception.

The study was based on the descriptive survey approach.

The questionnaire was used to obtain the data from the research population represented by all faculty members in Saudi universities.

As it was essential that internal validity and reliability were tested, the study focused on a stratified random sample of 874 faculty members in Saudi universities, taken from the original community of the study.

The study was conducted during the first semester of the year 1442 AH.

Statistical data analysis was consequently established with Statistical Product Service Solutions (SPSS®).

Based on the analysis of the questionnaire, the study revealed that the reality of preparing students in Saudi universities in terms of the academic majors and planning for when they graduate came with a "medium" level.

Whereas the reality of preparing students in terms of adequacy and skill came with a "large" level.

While the reality of preparing students in terms of their university's relationship with the labour market came with a "low" level.

Moreover, the reality of preparing students in terms of the undergraduate teaching came with a "large" level.

Furthermore, Saudi universities' obstacles in preparing their students for the labour market came with a "very large" level.
