Qatar has further distinguished itself as soft power.

The state attracted a significant number of immigrants who could contribute to promoting the country’s image.

This study seeks to understand the representations among Qatar residents towards Qatar state, culture, and society.

Data were collected using probability sampling from 111 multi-national residents and analyzed using MAXQDA.

The results revealed that Qatar, for its residents, has cultural advantages and disadvantages, However, the overall representations among residents are positive and depend on considerations related to their personal experience and cultural frameworks.

Additionally, the residents consider that the country is challenged culturally, most notably by the cultural and religious differences and other rights-oriented issues.
