Abstract EN

The article aims to study the role of Islam as a soft power in building a positive image for the State of Qatar.

Islam as the state religion and Qatar being an Arab and Muslim majority nation, we are looking for prospective fields where Islam may play a significant role in the sports and entertainment arena from an Islamic perspective.

We will also try to realize the Islamic role to solve any problem during the World Cup 2022.

In addition to studying Qatar’s possible role in fighting Islamophobia by presenting the actual image of Islam to the guests and audiences of the World Cup football events, from variance cultures, religions, and ethnicities across the world, who may or may not have a positive outlook towards Islam.

The article relies on several scientific methods, such as analytical method and conductive method, and concluded that Islam could play a very resilient role in well organizing and showcasing an elegant international event with artistic mastery for the world to enjoy and remember, such as the FIFA football World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
