Sociolinguistics is one of the branches of applied linguistics, which is concerned with the study of the relationship of language with society.

Since man forms society, and society develops language through communication, because language was originally found for the purpose of communicating within societies.

It was necessary to establish a science that combines linguistics and sociology, so sociolinguistics came as a result of this intermarriage in the service of language on the one hand and linking it to the society to which it belongs on the other hand.

Therefore, our research paper, entitled: The interface between language and sociology, came to highlight the scientific intersection between these two fields (linguistics and sociology), starting from the following problem: What is the concept of sociolinguistics? What are the most important issues? How do linguistics and sociology overlap?
