Contemporary critical studies raise the issue of thresholds in narrative discourse as surrounding texts as important as the texts themselves, where they contribute to the building of its artistic form with its aesthetic and semantic effect the task of the critic becomes to detect them as luminous signs that exert an aesthetic, psychological and cognitive effect in the recipient.

This study reveals Ezzedine Gellaouji's strategy of shipping the thresholds of this novels with semantic loeds history and heritage.
