Higher education in the Algeria universities was mainly traditional.

After the spread of Covid-19, the institutes of higher education had no option but to adopt new pedagogies of teaching-learning process.

Moreover, to keep the wheel of education turning, moving towards e-learning (i.

e.

, using technology and virtual means of communication) was a must.

It is worth mentioning that almost each Algerian university has a unique e-learning experience.

Therefore, the aim of our paper is to shed light, particularly, on the e-learning experience at University of Ahmed Draia as a model.

The latter has proven its success in the use of technology in the educational process; it has been able to shift from on-site to online education.

Courses were offered online and easy to access (e.

g.

, uploaded on Moodle); while different scientific events, especially conferences, were held on Google Meet.

Covid-19 is not only a treat, but a chance as well.

Thus, it is important to benefit from such unexpected experience in a way that helps our high education evolves, and to make sure to keep the wheel of education moving, in the time of crisis and beyond.
