Abstract EN

Ancient Algerian poetry requires special attention as it represents our literary heritage.

That is why, we chose to study the 'Mimiya' of Ali Ben Ahmed Cherif al-Jazaery (d.

: 1170 AH) as our case study.

The importance of our research lies in the fact that it sheds light on one of the obscure ancient poets known for his structured discourse written with a unique Sufi dimension, which enriches the poetic text and gives its ideas multiple interpretations.

In an attempt to explain the mystical dimension of this poem, we analyzed its architectural structure that includes its thematic composition, by investigating the poem's ideas, and deconstructing them into minor ones.

Then, we explained the lexical composition of the poem that is based on a set of special semantic elements; to conclude with the stylistic composition of the poem, especially with regard to contradiction, intertextuality and
