Nowadays, the environmental feasibility study is very crucial when dealing with the various developing projects.

However, there is what we call the economic feasibility study, which gives more credit to profits rather than caring about the devastating effects on the environment.

This resear ch work aims at clarifying the role that can play the environmental feasibility study in the achievement of the environmental security as well as the local sustainable development.

Besides, the research worker has adopted the descriptive method as a way to deal with this issue, so as to throw the light on the prime importance of the environmental feasibility study to achieve successful investment projects in any country, provided that it respects certain human and environmental standards.

Thus, we can guarantee a local sustainable development.
