Arab criticism in the second decade of the twentieth century was open to Western criticism of all its transformations, starting with contextual approaches such as the historical, psychological and social approach through linguistics and ending with stylistic and receiving theory.

These curricula differ in their procedures, perceptions and practices.

If the contextual approaches deal with the text as a historical, psychological or social document, the methodological approach sees otherwise.

The historical curriculum includes the names of people and places, and the psychological approach analyzes the author's contract and its limitations, and the social approach depends on the conditions of people and their behavior and the standard of living in the society, that is, literary criticism in the owners of these curricula is composed with the author, while the owners of the new criticism approaches the curricular approaches as structural and deconstructive That is an author without an author.

This difference in the intellectual perception of these approaches, which was intended to bring the text closer or the reader of the reader make each approach is based on the ruins of its predecessors in an attempt to develop some of the ideas that came by this approach or that and avoid the lapses in which fallen earlier.
