The study aims to clarify the role of sustainable finance in enhancing financial stability to achieve sustainable development.

For this purpose, the descriptive analytical method was used, to describe and analyze the most important elements that enhance this role, and rooting the basic concepts of sustainable finance and sustainability criteria, and discussing these concepts within the framework of the process of risk management and shock orption.

The study found that sustainable financing has the potential to ensure financial stability, through sustainability standards, which clarifies the basic principles concerned with taking into account issues of the environment, social responsibility and governance, through which it is possible to tighten control and disclosure of environmental and social risks so that the custodians can avoid and control them and thus ensure sustainable economic production and equality between generations and thus achieve a level of financial stability.

This helps to stabilize the work of institutions within the markets and maintain their presence and increase their competitiveness in the long run.
