We cannot find works that embod the values of citizenship better than what was presented by the Algerian scholar El-Bachir El-Ibrahimi, who was distinguished by the encyclopedia of his knowledge in various aspects of life.

Perhaps the geographical and historical pertinence of Algeria as a national dimension represents an important factor of national identity.

In this paper, we try to have a look at the extent of the presence of the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation in the liberation project of the imam, as well as the extent of the importance of national ties in consolidating national identity, through his articles in the newspaper “El-Basair”, this latter, which was the greatest weapon to perplex the colonizer and scatter its papers.
