Abstract EN

The dedication is one of the most important thresholds within the Algerian novel in that it constitutes an active guide for the novelistic text; it is among the parallel texts having both a particularity and a singularity; and it is considered as a deep-rooted cultural tradition that has accompanied the literary creativity through immemorial periods of time.

This research is concerned with the study of the dedication texts of the Algerian writer Ouassini Elaaraj; the dedication, in all of his novels, is a major threshold to enter into the text and reach the pleasure of reading; it constitutes a guide that should not be ignored or omitted by the reader, because it contributes to the reader expectation and helps him draw his perspective; it's one of the work keys that open more than one window to understand the novelistic text and it's reading; and it is one of the starts necessary to approach significances and a purpose for the main text.

The research also looks at the features that distinguish the dedication text and it's styles within the novels of "Ouassini", the relationship of dedication to the parallel texts and to the central text, and to what extent the dedication is impacting and effective in guiding the reader toward the significances of the novelistic text.
