يرتبط الحديث عن البدايات الأولى للرواية العربية الجزائرية وجوبا بملابسات النهضة الأدبية في الجزائر، إبان الحقبة الاستعمارية، و قد ساهمت جملة من العوامل في قيام تلك النهضة أبرزها : العوامل الاجتماعية، و العوامل السياسية، و العوامل الثقافية.

The discussion of the early beginnings of the Algerian Arab novel is linked to the circumstances of the literary renaissance in Algeria, and a number of factors contributed to the emergence of this renaissance, most notably: social factors, political factors, and cultural factors
