Abstract EN

This study is a new perspective on reading figures of speech in the poetry of Abi Ala Al-Maari.

It is presented through an introduction, three sections and a conclusion.

This investigation is devoted to the study of figures of speech in his poetry.

Three of the figures of speech types are studied, which are among the most famous in general, and the mostly used in Abi Ala Al-Maari ‘s poetry: the hyponymy , antonymy, and division.

Examples are cited as evidence from his poetry on each genre, the models analyzed, and the occurance of figures of speech was justified.

An explanation of his ideas and a manifestation of his principles, and a demonstration of his linguistic and artistic excellence, and that he used the antonomy in particular in response to his psyche, which was constructed of dualities and oppositions.

Finally , the most prominent results concluded the study.
