International Cooperation in Higher Education as a Goal for Sustainable Development – Case of the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative SummaryThis paper aims to demonstrate the role of international cooperation within the activities of international economic development organizations in promoting higher education, as a goal of sustainable development.

It comes to Bretton Woods's institutions such as the World Bank, and international organizations operating under the cover of the United Nations.

One of the most important experiences in this field we can cite the "Higher Education Sustainability Initiative".

The HESI helps university institutions to achieve the goals of sustainable development, this focuses mainly on promoting education, to improve the contribution of individuals to the development process.
