Abstract EN

This study trys to respond to a central problem that deals with the manifestations of the religious and cultural policy of France in Algeria, as well as a set of sub-problems related to the identification of areas of activity of the French religious and cultural project in Algeria, its most important resources and foundations, and its repercussions on Algerian society.

In order give an answer to this problem with its branches, I dwelled on France's policy of opposing Islamic institutions, such as mosques, zaouias, endowments and Islamic justice, and reviewed its missionary activity.

l dealt with its cultural project of confrontation with the Arabic language, Arab-Islamic education and Arab-Islamic culture, l analyzed the policy of linguistic and cultural inclusion and discussed attempts to disseminate ethnic and cultural differences.

The study ended with a set of results, focusing on the dimensions of this policy and its repercussions on various religious, cultural and linguistic fields.
