Abstract EN

This research paper focuses on a very important topic, which is the experience of self-management that was applied in the Algerian economy immediately after independence.

Where the researcher tried to capture the most important circumstances and challenges facing the Algerian economy, which served as real motives and starting points for adopting this policy, then he moves to the objectives of this policy and the most important theses that were theorized for it, in order to evaluate this policy from all sides, whether from the side of management, marketing or financing, to conclude in the end that this policy despite the lofty principles that it carried, and despite the attention that the authority gave it, However, poor management, bureaucratic administration, overlapping powers, tight centralization, lack of funding, outdated equipment and weak marketing channels, as well as the low level of workers and peasants, have all accelerated the decline of this system and the gradual abandonment of it by the state.
