Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدراسة تعرف أسباب ضعف طلاب المدارس الحكومية في اللغة الإنجليزية بدولة الكويت من وجهة نظر مديري المدارس ومساعديهم، كما هدفت إلى تحديد الفروق في تقديرات مديري المدارس ومساعديهم نحو أسباب ضعف طلاب المدارس الحكومية في اللغة الإنجليزية والتي تعزى لمتغيرات الجنس، والمؤهل العلمي، والخبرة، حيث اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي حيث قام الباحث بتوزيع استبانة مكونة من (30) فقرة على عينة الدراسة التي تكونت من (284) مديراً ومساعداً موزعين على كافة المدارس الحكومية في محافظة الجهراء في دولة الكويت بعد .

التأكد من صدقها وثباتها.

أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن أسباب ضعف طلاب المدارس الحكومية في اللغة الإنجليزية بدولة الكويت من كات بالترتب الآتي حيث جاء مجال الأسباب المتعلقة بالطالب) في المرتبة الأولى، يليه مجال الأسباب المتعلقة بالمعلم)، وثالثاً جاء مجال الأسباب المتعلقة بالمنهج)، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق بين المديرين ومساعديهم ووجود تجانس بينهم في تقديرهم لأسباب ضعف طلاب المدارس الحكومية في اللغة الإنجليزية بدولة الكويت.

أوصت الدراسة بعدة توصيات أهمها ضرورة تشجيع معلمي اللغة الإنجليزية على التنويع في طرق وأساليب التدريس، بالإضافة للتركيز على الجانب التطبيقي للغة، كما أوصت الدراسة بأهمية توفير مختبرات لغوية في اللغة الإنجليزية لإتاحة المجال للطلبة للتطبيق العملي للغة الإنجليزية كلغة اتصال، وكذلك أوصت الدراسة بضرورة إيجاد آلية واضحة ومحددة لاختيار وتعيين معلمي اللغة الإنجليزية، يكون من ضمنها الطلاقة والتحدث.

English Abstract

The study aimed to identify the reasons of government schools’ students’ weakness in the English language in the State of Kuwait from the perspective of school’s principals and their assistants.

It also aimed to identify the differences in the estimates of school principals and their assistants towards the reasons for the weakness of government school students in the English language due to gender variations, educational qualification, and experience, Where the study followed the descriptive survey approach, whereby the researcher distributed a questionnaire consisting of (30) items to the study sample, which consisted of (284) principals and assistants distributed over all government schools in the Jahra Governorate in the State of Kuwait after making sure of its validity and reliability.

The results of the study showed that the reasons for the weakness of government school students in the English language in the State of Kuwait from the field (the reasons related to the student) came first, followed by the field (the reasons related to the teacher), and the third came the field (the reasons related to the curriculum), and the results also showed that there were no differences between the principals and their assistants, and that there was homogeneity between them in their estimation of the reasons for the weakness of government school students in the English language in Kuwait.

The study recommended the necessity of encouraging teachers of the English language to diversify in teaching methods, in addition to focus on the applied side of the language.
