The city of Algiers played a major role in preparing for the revolution of November 1, 1954.

It was the ground on which the idea of armed struggle brewed, based on the establishment of political parties and movements.

During the period that followed the Somma conference, the city of Algiers witnessed a dangerous escalation in guerrilla activity, which made it change its method of work and the development of its method.

Its activity is in line with the development of events, although the first guerrilla operations were not completely successful, but the established goals have been achieved, which is the notice of the French colonialism that the revolution is comprehensive.
