There are many types of lamentations in Arabic poetry, including those that specialize in rulers, kings and leaders, and some that concern relatives such as wives, sons and brothers.

Some of them are specialized in writers and jurists.

Lamentation remained not only about man, but another kind of lamentation among the Arwas the lamentation of cities, countries and kingdoms, which was widely known after the great incidents of the Ar, such as the loss of Andalusia, and the Mongol invasion of Baghdad.

Poets in the Abbasid era went beyond these species to the lamentation of domesticated animals and birds.

This is why we are asking a range of questions.

What led poets to lament the animal? Why did Abbasid poets take the domesticated animal as a poetic theme? Was that an expression of a particular attitude to life and death? Or is it just intellectual extravagance? These are questions we tried to answer some of them in this article.
