The Arabic rhetorical lesson received a lot of attention fromour ancient scholars, because Arabic rhetoric examined the artsof speech and the places of beauty in the heritage (poetry andprose), and revealed the secrets of the discourse structure andits effect on the recipient.

The stylistics is an emerging science whose the origin waslinked to the linguistic studies that emerged at the beginning ofthe nineteenth century.

Its schools, branches and trends dealtwith the literary text, analyzing it in depth in order to determineits aesthetic characteristics and characteristics, revealing themeaning and the meaning of meaning and its relationship tothe author.

Therefore, the axis that combines rhetoric andstylistics is the study of the aesthetics of literature, and this iswhat made some scholars consider stylistics to be thelegitimate heir of the ancient Arabic rhetoric.

Others consideredit as modern rhetoric of doubly form.

Through this study, we will try to show the similarities anddifferences between rhetoric and stylistics, and which one isbroader than the other.
