With the global spread of the new coronavirus and the loss of thousands of lives, fears are growing that the epidemic will spread within states experiencing armed conflict, particularly in light of the collapse of infrastructure and the health system and the scarcity of resources that are indispensable for the survival of the civilian population, which is an environment conducive to the spread of the virus that threatens the lives of the most vulnerable and vulnerable children, women and the elderly, as well as refugees and forcibly displaced persons within their states and detainees.

this article reviews a number of rules and provisions contained in international humanitarian law, the application of which would mitigate the consequences of coronavirus on victims of armed conflict.
