تتقاسم القواميس الحديثة، التعليمية منها خاصة طريقتين في الشرح لتبليغ دلالة المدخل هما التعريف و المثال المشروح، نود في هذا المقال لفت انتباه الدارسين إلى هذه النقطة التي لم تنل حقها من الدراسة في القواميس العربية، ما يجعل توظيف الطريقتين في القواميس العربية صناعة متوارثة لم تخضع إلى المفاضلة و لا التقنين.
نعرض في هذا المقال الطريقتين، مع محاولة للمفاضلة بينهما لتبيان أيهما أكثر تبليغا للدلالة.
Abstract EN
Modern dictionaries, especially educational dictionaries, use two practices to convey the meaning of the entry, which are the definition and the glossed example.
the use of both methods in Arabic dictionaries is subject to a tradition inherited from ancient dictionaries, and it has not been sufficiently studied.
in this article, we present the two methods and try to determine which one can best convey the meaning.

Les dictionnaires modernes, en particulier les dictionnaires pédagogiques, utilisent deux pratiques pour transmettre la signification de l'entrée, qui sont la définition et l'exemple glosée.
l'utilisation des deux méthodes dans les dictionnaires Arabes est soumise à une tradition héritée des dictionnaires anciens, et elle n'a pas été suffisamment étudié.
dans cet article, nous présentons les deux méthodes et essayons de déterminer laquelle peut le mieux transmettre la signification.
