Abstract EN

The aim of this paper is to study the impact of oil price fluctuations on the level of employment in Algeria during the period 1980-2019.

in the analytical study, we found a relationship between these shocks and the level of employment in Algeria.

in the econometric study we found that oil and employment and we found that they are stationary on the same degree, after that we concluded the existence of counteraction between them, and we also concluded through the assessment that the relationship exists in the short and long terms, meaning that any increase in oil prices leads to an increase in the level of employment and vice versa.
