The purpose of our research is to analyze the socio-economic impact of a natural disaster, namely a landslide, based on a concrete empirical case.
whatever the nature and quality of the anticipations and plans implemented, some natural disasters remain unpredictable.
they are of different kinds and are caused by a number of factors, therefore they give rise to economic and social impacts affecting both goods and people but also the course of economic activity.
the case we will study through this article is that of the landslide of the city of Ain el Hammam, in Tizi-Ouzou in Algeria; we will present the impact generated and the efforts made in this direction, this article will demonstrate the role that sustainable development initiatives could play in managing natural disasters and reducing the corresponding vulnerability.

L'objet de notre recherche consiste en l'analyse de l'impact socioéconomique d'une catastrophe naturelle à savoir le glissement d'un terrain, à partir d'un cas empirique concret.
quelle que soit la nature et la qualité des anticipations et planifications mises en œuvre, certaines catastrophes naturelles demeurent imprévisibles.
elles sont de différentes natures et sont causées par plusieurs facteurs, par conséquent elles donnent lieu à des incidences économiques et sociales affectant à la fois les biens, les personnes mais également le déroulement de l'activité économique.
le cas que nous allons étudier à travers cet article est celui du glissement de terrain de la ville d'Ain el Hammam, à Tizi-Ouzou en Algérie; nous allons présenter l'impact engendré et les efforts fournis dans ce sens, cet article démontrera le rôle que pourrait avoir les initiatives de développement durable dans la gestion des catastrophes naturelles et dans la réduction de la vulnérabilité correspondante.
