Abstract EN

This paper deals with texts of a unique type with linguistic and extra-linguistic specificities, namely, interjections.

we aim here to shed light on these expressions in English and French as well as Arabic, and then to detail their types and forms.

we then proceed to study the most important strategies used to transfer this type of text into the Arabic language and determine how to adopt a strategy / technique over another, what factors affect the translator's choices, and how to deals with these expressions when transferring them into Arabic.

after studying many examples, we find that equivalence is the predominant technique in translating interjections, followed by deletion, then literal translation, due to taking into account the cultural and religious background of the Arab audience and anticipating its reaction.
