Since the emergence of the Algerian Arabic novel, the novelist has developed his work through attaching interconnecting it with different fields as many other novelists in the world.

in fact, this article intends to introduce one of the Algerian novelist who made their way in the field of historical novel.

namely novelist Mohamed Miflaah and his novel “Sha’alah al-Mayda”, which was not the only that makes use of history.

so, what is the novel talking about ? what is the purpose of this piece of writing and in which category it can be classified ? and what is its historical reference ? where do the aesthetic use lie ? these questions are raised in order to draw the attention to the.

indeed, the results show that the novel “She’alah al-Mayda” is classified among the Algerian historical novels that has achieved artistic literary maturity in terms of narrative features for historical event.

this is not only to reach conceivable aesthetics, or to teach the young generation the history of Oran, but rather, to properly document to reach the missing link.
