It is to sum up to recall that the general linguistics course book "GLC" published posthumously, remained an official spokesperson for Saussure’s linguistic thought for nearly a century.

Following the discovery of new texts found in 1996 within the so-called orange grove manuscripts, whether it be "the double essence of language" or other manuscripts by Saussure, the call pressing fact to re-read the Saussurian heritage in the light of these developments, in particular in the light of what has been revealed by numerous clauses of the publishing contract for the "GLC" the general linguistics course book.

this research concluded with the examination of numerous data that were not in doubt before examining the terms of the publishing contract.
