Abstract EN

The importance of the research lies in some physical abilities and traits in sophomore and senior students' handball teams of physical education & sport Sciences College/ University Of Baghdad season 2016 – 2017.

The subjects were (26) students.

The researcher used his experience as supervisor of training and leading handball teams in championships held by team sports department in the college and for all stages.

The researcher used the descriptive method and studied the physical abilities and traits of handball for each stage.

The data was collected and treated using proper statistical operations.

The researcher concluded that there are significant differences in physical abilities and traits' tests (transitional speed, arms' strength defined by speed and legs' explosive power).
