This study aims to reveal the aesthetics of receiving poetry according to al-kadi al-jurjani, who is considered one of the most prominent critics of the fourth century ah, by dealing with a number of concepts related to the reader, its types and conditions.

moreover, it tried to trace his act of receiving, through procedures, reading standards, and methodological tools to examine texts and accept them.

this research also stands on its implicit connotations, which may break the horizon of the reader's expectation and surprise him, given the multiple meanings it contains.
