Abstract EN

This research deals with the theoretical critical efforts presented by literary and philosophical criticism since Aristotle, until today, passing through classical, psychological and social theorizing to formal criticism and its structural dimension and new criticism based on the statements that have been moving in the direction of renewal.

We focused on the various concepts that these critics came up with and introduced us to the different perspectives and classifications that imposed themselves in the literary field and to which creators were subjected to their various literary tendencies and currents.

Let us conclude by saying that the character that derives its roles and features from ideal reality ended up being an imaginary person with multiple roles and functions, living and dying within the literary work.
