The epistemology of colour is an extrapolation of the possible connotations of colour in several cognitive systems.

Beginning with the mythical identification of color that does not stray far from the paganism understanding associated with the mythological imagination; the characterization moves then to the religious concept.

In this latter concept, perception surpasses the naive superstitious conception.

Inspection goes therefore towards the psychological-emotional characterization, the aesthetic characterization.
