Abstract EN

In this paper, attention is devoted to the study of a steady and famous critical aspect in the valleys of Arabic literature in general and the branches of Arabic rhetoric in particular, which was named (later) the artistic image.

The researchers slightly agree on the big importance of this critical feature, which almost became a fundamental problem, as shown in the words of Jaber Asfour.

The study section of this critical aspect includes three major stations : It begins with setting the concept of this term in the linguistic tradition, then excavating about its birth and its early upbringing, then the research leads to the investigation and examination of the raw materials the ancients used to engineer this term, probe those materials and study them, with carefully selected rhetorical examples without extravagance, since the long-tailed representation is not supported by these papers, the study is folded with a conclusion accompanied by the most important results and recommendations.
